About the Artist
Sue is also a published author with five books and various short stories to her name. These can be found in bookshops, on amazon and various other internet book sites.
She is a grandmother of three delightful little girls and mother of two adult children and two great children in-law.
Her husband is a retired dentist who loves photography and Sue is a retired College lecturer. Together they enjoy music and travelling, particularly Botswana and Namibia where you are close to nature. The children and grand children complete their world.
Sue lives, with her husband, in a complex of twenty houses in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. She loves the wonderful climate where the sun shines for most of the year. Pretoria has a summer rainy season with brilliant sunshine and thunderstorms that last for about 30 minutes bringing the most divine cloud formations with thunder and lighting, to the otherwise hot and balmy days.
Winter lasts for approximately six weeks with temperatures going to around 8 - 11*C at night and approximately 16*C - 21*C during the day.
Apart from art, which is a passion, she also loves dark chocolate with nuts! She loves writing motivational books and poems.
Her motto is gratitude and she has learned to live with a heart of thanks for every new day and every bit of beauty that colours her world. She is a Christian and believes in the Creator - the greatest Artist ever - who created the awesome beauty of nature.

Droom en Doen is the only Afrikaans book available and is a motivational book for ages 13 to about 21, but can be read by people of all ages.

Birthday party fun!
If you have a child between the ages of 6 and 13 years of age and you are looking for a theme for the next birthday party, contact me!! I will bring all the necessary equipment for your child and his/her friends to do a completed painting in acrylics as a special treat for the birthday. Paintings will belong to the child and may be taken home. The cost involved is reasonable and includes the materials, canvas panels and paint.
This will be a very different and special birthday treat and has never been done before. I will also supply photos as reference, or the child can paint anything in the surroundings of the party. I will be on hand to give advice and guidance.
It will be awesome fun and something really special!
Don't wait...book your spot with me as soon as possible and call or email me for the cost involved for the duration of a two hour paint session.
All you need to supply are tables (covered with newspaper or plastic) or covered areas on the paving and for each child to bring an apron to protect their clothes, plus water. I will supply the containers for the water.
Just see the spark in your child's eyes when they have this extra special birthday surprise! Something to be remembered and talked about for months or years, plus a painting which can be framed with the birthdate and year on the painting.
